Welcome to our NHS healthcare professionals
At Duty to Care our mission is to provide you with free mental-health and well-being support through one-to-one online sessions that we will fund. From this page you will be able to browse our registered practitioners to find the right support for you.
Curated by the Duty to Care Team, you will find a bio for each wellness professional specifically detailing their qualifications, experience and specialisms. As NHS workers you are uniquely positioned to understand the necessity of a personalised programme to support each individual’s mental-health and well-being. Whilst we have personally carried out our own checks it is important that you take the time to read about each therapist / practitioner to decide on the right match for you and your needs. From counsellors and CBT therapists to meditation and breath-work experts, yoga teachers, personal trainers and nutritionists - we have had an overwhelming response to our call for professionals to support our NHS staff and we really hope you find the exact fit for your needs at this time. As we continue to grow and raise awareness and funds for our campaign, we will be adding to our directory - so if there is a service you think is missing please do let us know.
“Self-care is never a selfish act - it is simply good stewardship of the only gift we have, the gift we were put on earth to offer others. Anytime we can listen to true self and give the care it requires, we do it not only for ourselves, but for the many others whose lives we touch.”― Parker Palmer
Once you have decided, all you need to do is contact the practitioner (referencing Duty to Care) and request a consultation to ascertain what your support package will look like. The practitioner will contact us with your plan and a request for payment - you don’t need to worry about anything beyond finding the person you want to work with.
Please note Duty To Care’s aim is to provide immediate care and support as soon as you need it, but we urge you to seek help through your own NHS place of work in conjunction with this. There are a number of ways in which your trust can help you, and we encourage you to begin that process ASAP to ensure you receive the best immediate and longer-term structured support. We will shortly be adding a new section to this website listing other sources of support available through the NHS and other organisations.
Thank you for taking the time to look after yourself - it is our Duty to Care for you when you need it most.
