A psychotherapist who is working with Duty to Care to provide mental health support to NHS workers has created a free online Stress Management Course. Eliminating Stress with Self-Care is available online now via the Self Care Skills website and offers a range of resources to help you handle stress effectively.

Creator of the course, Izabel Nedeva said: “I'm so excited to share with you that the Stress Management Class is finally published and open for enrolment. The pandemic inspired me to create this class as I believe all NHS professionals would greatly benefit from guidance on managing stress in these challenging times.

“It's called ''Eliminating Stress with Self-Care'' and it's completely free as I believe it's now more important than ever to learn how to recognise and handle stress effectively. I'm hoping this class will help many people learn how to keep their stress levels low and come out of this challenging period stronger.”

In less than 90 minutes, clients can learn:

  • What is stress?

  • What are the symptoms of stress?

  • What are the causes / sources of stress?

  • How does stress actually work?

  • What makes it better?

  • What makes it worse?

  • How to practice Emotional Self-Care to handle stress

  • How to practice Physical Self-Care to handle stress

  • How to practice Practical Self-Care to handle stress

  • How to practice Social Self-Care to handle stress

  • How to practice Mental Self-Care to handle stress

  • How to practice Spiritual Self-Care to handle stress

Clients will also be able to develop their own self-care plan with the help of a step-by-step workbook that includes 150 self-care practice ideas.
